Aurizona Mine Development

Project Overview

The Aurizona Mine Expansion scoping study was started in December 2011 with two primary objectives:

Phase 1

Combine owner operated mining, plant optimization and additional capital plant improvement projects to expand production to 100,000 ounces of gold per annum in 2013. This Phase was approved by Luna's Board of Directors during September of 2012. As a result, Luna is now targeting annual production of 100,000 ounces at Aurizona during 2013, and 125,000 ounces during 2014.

Phase 2

Evaluate a range of process plant scenarios to 300,000 ounces of gold per annum.

The internal growth opportunity at the Aurizona Mine strategically targets positioning Luna Gold as a sustainable, growing intermediate gold producer in Brazil with a long life asset and consistent generator of internal cash flow to further enable development of Luna Gold's wholly owned Luna Greenfields exploration and business development pipeline.
